The PBEX gaming model is set around Binary predictions. Currently, predicting the market trend of POLYGON’ MATIC is the game’s modus operandi. The fluctuation in the current price of the crypto token determines the final outcome of the game. The user-first policies make PBEX foil to the other Crypto P2E games. Here are a few benefits of predicting with PBEX.

Here’s a list of a few FAQs!

What’s the PBEX Prediction contract address?

Verified contract address: 0x244c8d8922bfbeac9cc9a2dec4cb3549e54e0d64

Our prediction smart contract has been audited & certified by Certik The link below redirects to our Certik certification

What are you using for your price feed?

PBEX uses two sources for the price feeds. Both of them serve a different purpose within the prediction market:

ChainLink Oracle

It’s used for the Lock price and End price of each prediction market round. The price updates in intervals of 20 seconds. It’s used for the “Chainlink” chart on the interface

Our prediction contract uses the ChainLink Oracle price feed to set the prices used to determine the final outcome. Put simply, it helps us decide whether a user has won or not.

Binance

Binance is used for real-time price updates on the PBEX prediction platform. It’s also used for the “TradingView” chart on the interface.

Since two different price feeds are being used, the real-time price updates from Binance and the ChainLink Oracle price may vary by an inconsiderable margin. However, they shouldn’t differ significantly.

What if my transaction fails?

If you enter a round 10 seconds before the round moves to a live stage, your transaction might fail due to time constraints. In this case, MATIC won’t be deducted from your wallet.

In case of claim failure, please cross-check your gas fees. If the issue remains unsolved, please head to our telegram & discord channels to know more.

About Positions

Can I change my position or alter the investment amount?

No. Once have entered in particular a position, you can NOT change the direction, or remove your position. Predicting an outcome requires you to enter either of the two positions, UP or Down. Along with that, the investment amount has to be entered too. Be sure of the amount you’re investing and your choice of position before confirming.

What happens if every player predicts the same outcome?

In case, all the players predict one particular outcome and there’s nobody choosing the alternate option, that round shall be declared null & void and the user can claim all the initial investments through the history page. The prediction works successfully only when players invest on both ends.

To reclaim funds, you’ll need to pay a minimal gas fee. We can’t compensate you for the gas fees, so please bear this small risk in mind before participating.

What is the PBEX fee?

How is the payout calculated?

Payout Ratio for UP Pool = Total Value of Both Pools ÷ Value of UP Pool

Payout Ratio for DOWN Pool = Total Value of Both Pools ÷ Value of DOWN Pool

Let’s say there are 15 MATIC on the DOWN side of a round, and the total prize pool is 150 MATIC, In this case, the DOWN payout ratio will be (150/15)=10x

Payout Amount = Payout Ratio × Position × (1 — Treasury Fee)

If the round ends with a DOWN result,

A commitment of 2 MATIC on the DOWN position, will receive a payout of (2*10) × (1–0.05) = 19 MATIC.

The profit would be 17 MATIC (19–2)

The treasury fee is currently set at 5%: this may be subject to changes, which would be announced on Peer Blue’s official communication channels. Treasury fees are used to manage servers, for development, and to buy back & burn PBEX tokens.

The round’s result changed after the round ended! Why?

At times, the final result may be different from the last result displayed while the round was live. Suppose you watched a round end on “ DOWN” and a few moments later the results might flip to “UP”

This happens because we use the ChainLink Oracle price feed to determine the end result. The period between the end of one round and the start of the next is 30 seconds, but the Oracle refreshes every 20 seconds. It’s possible that during this short period, Oracle might update the price while the next round is being minted. This “flips” the outcome of the previous round.

What happens if the Locked Price and Closed Price are the exact same?

In the very rare event of the Locked Price and the Closed Price being exactly the same, the round will be declared null and void. The initial investments will be returned back to the players.

To reclaim funds, you’ll need to pay a minimal gas fee. We can’t compensate you for the gas fees, so please bear this small risk in mind before participating.

About the Markets Pausing

What does it mean when markets are paused?

The market undergoes a pause when conditions affect the reliability of the contract. In the scenario of markets being paused, the prediction and gaming rounds shall be halted.

What causes the PBEX Prediction market to pause?

The prediction market will pause under the following circumstances:

  1. The prediction contract has failed to obtain the price from the ChainLink oracle due to a lack of update from the oracle at the end of the round.

  2. The prediction contract has been unable to execute an action (ending a round or getting a price from the oracle) due to the tx being stuck in the mempool for longer than 20 blocks.

When will the market resume after being paused?

The market will resume when an admin manually resumes it.

What happens to my position if the market pauses?

If the markets pause while you have a live position, your funds will be available to reclaim, the same way as you would normally claim your winnings.

To reclaim funds, you’ll need to pay some gas fees. We can’t compensate you for the gas fees, so please bear this small risk in mind before participating.
